Replacing Shower Screens in the Sector 74–79 Townships
In the decade-old Sector 74–79 towers, a shower partition is usually a replacement: out goes a leaking framed screen or curtain, in comes frameless glass from ₹500 per sq ft, or a slim-profile frame from ₹1,100 per sq ft where re-tiled walls are out of true.

Supertech Capetown in Sector 74, Mahagun Moderne, Nimbus Hyde Park and Antriksh Golf View in Sector 78, and the towers around the Sector 76 Aqua Line station were mostly handed over in the early-to-mid 2010s. A bathroom from that era has usually been through one renovation already, or is about to have its first. Shower partitions in Sectors 74 to 79 are therefore rarely a blank-wall job: there is an old screen to remove, holes to fill, and tiles that may or may not have been replaced since the builder left.
What does an older bathroom change about the glass?
Two things. First, walls that have been re-tiled over the original tiles are thicker and often no longer plumb, sometimes leaning several millimetres over the height of the shower. Frameless glass meets the wall in a clamp with almost no tolerance, so a leaning wall shows as a tapering gap. Second, old screws and plugs from the previous screen sit exactly where new fittings want to go. We map both at the visit.
| Style | Why it suits a Sector 74–79 bathroom | Starts at |
|---|---|---|
| Frameless shower partition with door | Walls still true after renovation; the cleanest look | ₹500 per sq ft |
| Slim profile partition with door | The thin frame takes up out-of-plumb walls and covers old fixing holes | ₹1,100 per sq ft |
| Fixed frameless shower partition | Second bathrooms where a single panel is enough | ₹370 per sq ft |
| Slim profile enclosure with door | Corner showers needing two framed sides | ₹1,100 per sq ft |
The frameless versus framed question is set out fully in frameless vs framed shower partitions. Every style uses 10mm Saint-Gobain toughened glass with a 1 year functional warranty on hardware; the glass thickness guide explains why 10mm is the standard for showers.
Repair or replace the existing screen?
Not every old partition needs to go. If the glass is sound and the problem is a door that hangs low and scrapes or a seal strip that has gone hard, new hinges and seals cost a fraction of a new partition, and a WhatsApp photo is enough to quote it. Replacement makes sense when the frame has corroded, the glass is plain rather than toughened, or the layout itself never worked.
Working inside these townships
- Register the team at the main gate; large townships such as Capetown have a long walk from gate to tower, so tell us the tower and block.
- Shower partitions are interior work, normally needing only a work slip from the maintenance office, not an elevation approval.
- Old screen removal creates debris; check where the society wants it taken.
- Panels go up in the service lift, and some older towers have small cars. Tell us if yours is tight.
What happens after you book
The site visit is ₹99, adjusted against your final bill. We measure on the finished tiles, check plumb, and note old fixings. The written quote usually reaches you within about two hours and stays valid for 3 days. After 50% advance, toughened glass is produced in 7–10 days; removal of the old screen and fitting of the new one happen in a single visit, and the balance is paid on completion. Costs by bathroom size are in the shower cubicle cost guide.
If your partition only needs fixing, see glass repairs in Sectors 74–79. The Sectors 74–79 page covers windows and grills too. All bathroom styles are in the shower cubicles catalogue, and bathroom glass partitions in Noida covers the city. Newer towers on the Noida Expressway face tighter layouts but straighter walls. Send a bathroom photo on WhatsApp to begin.
Common questions
Can frameless glass be fitted on re-tiled walls in an older Noida flat?
Often, yes, if the walls are close to plumb. Frameless clamps tolerate very little lean, so a wall that leans several millimetres shows as a tapering gap. A slim-profile framed partition takes up that variation. We check plumb at the visit and recommend accordingly.
How much is a shower partition in Mahagun Moderne or Nimbus Hyde Park?
A frameless partition with a door starts at ₹500 per sq ft and a slim-profile one at ₹1,100 per sq ft. A typical society bathroom needs 25 to 40 sq ft of glass, and removing the old screen is included in the scope. The written quote after measuring is the figure to rely on.
Purana shower screen hatane ka kaam bhi aap karte ho?
Yes. Removing the old screen or frame is part of the replacement job and is included in the written quote for the agreed scope. Old fixing holes are filled or covered by the new fittings where possible. Tell the society where debris should go.
My shower door only scrapes the floor. Do I need a new partition?
Usually not. A door that scrapes has normally dropped on worn hinges. If the glass is intact, new hinges fix it for far less than a new partition. Send a photo of the hinges and the door on WhatsApp; hinge work is quoted from photos without a paid visit.
