Which part of Ghaziabad are you in, and what does it usually need?

Trans-Hindon: Indirapuram, Vaishali, Kaushambi and Vasundhara

This is the part of Ghaziabad that faces Delhi across the border at Anand Vihar and UP Gate. Indirapuram is divided into khands (Niti, Shakti, Nyay, Ahinsa, Gyan, Abhay and Vaibhav), with group housing and plotted pockets side by side. Vaishali ends the Blue Line at its Sector 4 station, and Kaushambi, one stop earlier, is the hotel, hospital and office cluster opposite the Anand Vihar ISBT. Vasundhara is the Parishad's 19-sector housing scheme. Many flats here are fifteen to twenty-five years old, so the typical job is replacement: an old shower curtain becoming a frameless shower partition with door, or worn aluminium sliders becoming uPVC.

Raj Nagar Extension: towers still being fitted out

Raj Nagar Extension grew along NH-58 beyond the Hindon and was tied to the Delhi border by the 10 km Hindon Elevated Road in 2018. It is overwhelmingly high-rise group housing, and many owners are doing a first fit-out, so the work is shower glass after tiling, mesh on balcony doors and railings where the builder's version is not enough.

The NH-9 corridor: Crossings Republik and Siddharth Vihar

The old NH-24, now NH-9 and the Delhi–Meerut Expressway, carries two of the city's big residential clusters. Crossings Republik is a 360-acre township built by several developers, and Siddharth Vihar sits next to Indirapuram on the highway. Bathrooms in these towers are often compact, and highway-facing flats get traffic noise and dust, so sliders and better-sealed windows come up a lot.

The old city: Raj Nagar and Kavi Nagar

Raj Nagar and Kavi Nagar are the established plotted colonies of central Ghaziabad. Houses here are rebuilt floor by floor, so main gates, grills, staircase railings and terrace sheds dominate, while the RDC district centre in Raj Nagar brings shop fronts, ACP and restaurant doors.

Sahibabad and the Meerut Road industrial belt

The Sahibabad Industrial Area is a UPSIDA estate on the western edge of the city, and older industrial areas run out along Meerut Road. Factory work is steel first: mezzanine floors, rolling shutters, loading-bay sheds and sliding gates, with a glass office cabin on the shop floor.

What Ghaziabad's climate and roads do to fabrication

Summers here are fierce and dusty, and the monsoon arrives hard. Unprimed mild steel rusts within a couple of seasons, which is why a gate or grill should be primed and painted or powder coated (see metal gate and grill rusting). Flats along the expressway and the elevated road collect fine dust in sliding tracks, which is behind most sliding windows that are hard to slide. Many homes also see hard water marks on shower glass, so a partition that is easy to wipe down matters more than its trim.
