MS gates, grills and steel fabrication in Ghaziabad

FabWise designs, fabricates and installs mild steel gates, sliding gates, window grills, safety doors, spiral staircases and mezzanine floors in Ghaziabad. Metal work has no published rate: the price depends on the steel section, size, design and finish, and is quoted in writing after a site visit.

Mild steel sliding gate on a ground track across the driveway of a plotted house

Ghaziabad has every kind of building that needs steel work: plotted kothis in Kavi Nagar and Raj Nagar, builder floors going up on old plots, high-rise flats in Indirapuram and Raj Nagar Extension, and factory sheds in Sahibabad and along Meerut Road. MS gate and metal fabrication in Ghaziabad covers all of them, but the first question is always the same: what is the steel fixed to, and what will it face? The answer decides the section, the finish and the price.

Plotted colonies: gates for houses that are being rebuilt

In Kavi Nagar, Raj Nagar, Nehru Nagar and the other planned colonies of old Ghaziabad, many single-family houses are being rebuilt as three- or four-storey builder floors. That brings a new main gate sized for two or three cars, grills on every floor, and often a spiral staircase to the terrace where an internal stair would eat a room. A sliding gate makes sense when the driveway is short and cars park right behind the gate, which is common on these plots; read the sliding gate automation guide if you may add a motor later, because the track and the rack are easier to plan in from the start.

Old pillars are the hidden issue. A heavy new gate hung on a decades-old brick pillar will pull it out of line, and the gate starts to drop and scrape within a season. We check the pillars at the visit and say whether they can carry the gate or need a steel post. If yours is already scraping, gate sagging and dragging and gate hinge broken explain the causes.

High-rise flats: safety doors and grills under society rules

In Indirapuram, Vaishali, Raj Nagar Extension and Crossing Republik, steel work inside a flat is usually a safety door outside the main door and grills on balconies or utility areas. The society controls what is visible: corridor doors and external grills often have to follow an approved design and colour. Bring the maintenance office's guidance to the visit and we fabricate to it. Openable grills, with a lockable section, are worth considering on any floor because they leave a way out in an emergency; the guide to window grill designs and safety shows the options.

Industry: mezzanines and factory gates in Sahibabad

Sahibabad's industrial area and the units along Meerut Road and Loni Road are full of sheds with high clear heights and not enough floor. A steel mezzanine adds a storage or office level without new construction. These are structural jobs: we need the load (pallets, racking, desks), the column positions the floor below can accept, and how the stair and any goods lift will reach the deck. Factories also ask for heavy sliding gates across wide entrances where trucks turn in, which need a strong track foundation more than a decorative design.

Industrial gates and grills also have to live with forklifts, trolleys and trucks brushing past them. Bump stops at the ends of a sliding track, a guide post that keeps a long gate upright in wind, and grills fixed into concrete rather than screwed into block work all add a little to the quote and a lot to the life of the steel. We point these out at the visit rather than leave them as surprises later.

Rust protection: what Ghaziabad's weather asks of mild steel

Mild steel rusts wherever water sits and the coating is broken: at the bottom rail of a gate, at welded joints, where a grill meets the wall. Ghaziabad's humid monsoon, followed by foggy winter mornings, keeps steel damp for long stretches. In the industrial belts, airborne dust and pollution settle on the steel and hold that moisture against it. The finish therefore matters as much as the steel.

  • Primer and enamel paint: the standard for most gates and grills, and easy to touch up. Explained in the mild steel glossary entry.
  • Powder coating: a harder, more even baked finish, applied in a shop. See powder coating.
  • Hot-dip galvanising under paint: for steel near the ground or in standing water. See hot-dip galvanising.

Rust on an existing gate is not always the end of it; metal gate and grill rusting explains what can be saved, and MS gate rust protection goes further into finishes.

What moves the price

Because each piece is made to an opening, there is no per-kg figure we would stand behind on a web page. The quote is driven by the weight of steel (section size and thickness), the area, the design work (plain bars against laser-cut panels or sheet infill), moving parts such as rollers, tracks and locks, the finish, and how the work is fixed on site. The MS gate price guide breaks these down, and the main gate design guide helps you arrive with a design in mind.

How a metal job runs

  1. Book a site visit for ₹99, paid upfront and adjusted against the final bill.
  2. We measure, check pillars, walls or floor, and talk through design and finish; usually within 24–48 hours of booking.
  3. A free, all-inclusive written quote follows within about 2 hours, valid for 3 days.
  4. Fabrication starts on the 50% advance; the timeline depends on size and design and is stated in the quote.
  5. We install and finish on site, and the balance 50% is paid on completion.

Common questions

What does an MS gate cost in Ghaziabad?

There is no fixed rate, because a gate is made to its opening. The price depends on its size, the steel section, the design, the moving parts and the finish, plus whether the pillars can carry it. We measure at a site visit and give a free, all-inclusive written quote within about 2 hours.

Can my old brick pillars take a new heavy gate?

Sometimes. Older pillars on rebuilt plots were often built for a much lighter gate. A heavy new gate can pull them out of line, and the gate then drops and scrapes. We check the pillars at the visit and, if needed, suggest a steel post or a sliding gate that puts less load on them.

Society mein safety door lagwane ke liye permission chahiye?

In most Ghaziabad societies, yes. The safety door sits in the common corridor, so the maintenance office often specifies a design or colour for every flat on the floor. Ask for the approved pattern before the site visit and we will fabricate to it.

Do you build steel mezzanines in Sahibabad factories?

Yes, the MS mezzanine floor is one of our metal styles. It is designed around the load it must carry, where columns can stand, the clear height above and below, and how people and goods reach it. We assess those at the visit and quote after. Check any landlord or authority approvals the unit needs.

Paint or powder coating for a gate in Ghaziabad?

Powder coating gives a harder, more even finish, but the parts must be coated in a shop and site welding afterwards needs touching up. Primer and enamel paint is simpler to repair later. Either works if the joints are cleaned and primed properly, which matters more than the topcoat.

How long does a spiral staircase take to make?

It depends on the height, diameter and finish, so the timeline is stated in the quote rather than given as a blanket figure. Fabrication starts once the 50% advance is paid. The site visit, usually within 24–48 hours of booking, checks the floor-to-floor height and the roof opening first.
