Glass work for coworking spaces in Gurgaon

Coworking operators in Gurgaon use glass to sell space: private cabins, meeting rooms and team suites that look open but close off. FabWise builds them per sq ft of glass, from ₹350 per sq ft for fixed frameless walls, with doors chosen for hundreds of openings a day.

Updated Gurgaon

Row of glass-walled meeting rooms and private cabins along a corridor in a shared workspace

Gurgaon is the densest flexible-workspace market in the NCR. Operators take whole floors in towers on Golf Course Road, around Cyber City, along MG Road and Sohna Road, and in the institutional plots of Sector 44 and Udyog Vihar, then sell desks and cabins by the month. In Gurugram coworking, the glass is part of the product: a cabin that looks good on a walkthrough is what closes a membership.

For operators comparing cities, the coworking glass hub sets out the general approach; the rest of this page is about Gurugram's towers, rules and members. Everything else we make in the city is on the Gurgaon page.

What makes coworking glass different from ordinary office glass?

Three things. Traffic: a meeting-room door in a coworking floor opens and shuts far more often than a manager's cabin, so the floor spring or hinge does a lot more work. Turnover: members move in and out, and the operator reconfigures cabins as demand shifts between 4-seaters and 10-seaters. And speed: every week a floor sits unfinished is a week of unsold seats.

Building rules in Gurgaon's coworking towers

Most coworking floors in Gurgaon sit in facility-managed towers, the same buildings that house corporate tenants. Expect contractor registration, a fixed slot for the goods lift, and limits on drilling during business hours. Where the operator is already running other floors in the same building, live members are next door, so noisy work is planned for evenings and weekends. Glass panels are measured and made to size in advance, so site time is mostly fixing channels and setting doors.

If you are opening near Golf Course Road or in Udyog Vihar, tell us which floors are live; it changes how we stage the install.

Planning for reconfiguration

  • Keep cabin widths on a regular module so a glass wall can later move by one bay instead of being remade.
  • Use fixed frameless panels for walls that might shift, and save doors for positions that are certain.
  • Choose frosted film, not frosted glass, for branding and privacy bands: film can be changed when the layout or the brand does. Our guide on frosted film vs frosted glass explains the trade-off.

How the job works

One site visit for ₹99 (adjusted against the final bill), usually arranged within 24–48 hours. A written, all-inclusive quote, aimed within about 2 hours and valid for 3 days. Fabrication after a 50% advance, with 12mm Saint-Gobain toughened glass generally ready in 7–10 days. The balance 50% is due on completion, and the office styles carry a 2 year functional warranty on the floor machine (fittings, not glass).

For doors already in service, a glass door closing too fast or a door lock not working can usually be fixed through floor machine repair, quoted from a WhatsApp photo. The wider range is on glass office partitions in Gurgaon. For a new centre, book the visit once the floor and ceiling are in.

Common questions

How much does a glass cabin cost for a coworking space in Gurgaon?

Glass cabins are priced per sq ft of glass: frameless walls with a door from ₹400 per sq ft, fixed frameless walls from ₹350 per sq ft, and framed aluminium cabins from ₹1,100 per sq ft. A full floor is quoted as one all-inclusive figure after we measure every cabin.

Can you work at night when the coworking centre is live?

Yes, where the building permits it. Fixing channels and setting doors is the noisy part, and in live centres it is usually planned for evenings or weekends. The panels are made to size beforehand, so time on site is short.

Can glass cabins be moved if we change the layout later?

Fixed frameless panels can often be taken down and refitted elsewhere if the new opening is the same size, because toughened glass cannot be cut after tempering. Planning cabins on a regular module now makes later changes far cheaper, and doors can be added to a fixed wall later if the opening is planned for one.

Meeting room ka glass door baar baar khulta hai, kaunsa hardware sahi hai?

For heavy-use doors, a floor spring with a hold-open setting and a good door stopper is the usual choice. The office styles include a floor machine with a 2 year functional warranty. Regular servicing matters in coworking, because the hinge or spring does many times the work of a normal office door.
