uPVC and aluminium windows and doors in Gurgaon
FabWise supplies and fits uPVC windows, aluminium sliding windows, balcony sliding doors, slide-and-fold doors and mosquito mesh in Gurgaon. They are priced per sq ft of opening and quoted after a site visit. In dusty, noisy parts of Gurugram, well-sealed uPVC is usually the first choice.

Most people looking for uPVC windows in Gurgaon are not shopping for windows. They are trying to stop something: the grey dust that coats the sill a day after cleaning, the traffic noise from an expressway, rain that comes in around the frame in August, or mosquitoes after dusk. The window type you choose should follow from which of those you are fighting. Here is how that works in Gurugram.
Five window and door styles, and how each is priced
| Style | Best for | How it's priced |
|---|---|---|
| uPVC window | Dust, noise and heat; flats facing a main road | Per sq ft of window |
| Aluminium sliding window | Slim frames, large openings, budget-conscious replacements | Per sq ft |
| Aluminium or uPVC sliding door | Balcony and garden doors | Per sq ft |
| Slide-and-fold door | Opening a living room fully to a terrace or lawn | Per sq ft |
| Mosquito mesh | Adding sliding, pleated or fixed mesh to existing windows | Per sq ft |
The full range is in the windows and doors catalogue.
uPVC or aluminium for a Gurgaon home?
| Concern | uPVC | Aluminium |
|---|---|---|
| Dust sealing | Multi-chamber frames with gaskets seal well | Depends on the system; basic sliders leak dust at the interlock |
| Road noise | Good, especially with double glazing | Fair with standard glass; better with premium systems |
| Summer heat | Frame does not conduct heat | Frame conducts heat unless thermally broken |
| Frame size | Thicker frames | Slimmer frames, more glass |
| Large sliding doors | Possible, with steel reinforcement inside the frame | Handles large spans well |
| Colour | Mostly white, laminated colours available | Powder coated or anodised in many colours |
Neither is wrong. uPVC is usually better at keeping out dust and noise; aluminium wins on slim sightlines and big openings. Our uPVC vs aluminium windows guide goes through the trade-offs in more detail.
Why it matters where in Gurgaon you live
Construction dust: Dwarka Expressway and the new sectors
Societies along Dwarka Expressway were handed over while the towers around them were still being built, and that will continue for years. Residents there commonly replace the builder's basic sliding windows with sealed uPVC, at least on the side facing active sites. The same applies to new towers off the SPR and the newer sectors of Sohna Road.
Traffic noise: expressways and arterial roads
Flats facing NH-48, Golf Course Extension Road or the SPR get constant traffic noise into the night. Here double-glazed uPVC on the bedroom side does most of the work. A gap of a few millimetres at the interlock of an old slider can undo any glass upgrade, which is why sealing matters as much as glass. Homes on Golf Course Extension Road are a common example.
Older homes: worn frames and monsoon leaks
In the DLF phases and Palam Vihar, many houses still have steel or early aluminium frames whose drain holes are blocked and rollers worn. The usual problems are windows hard to slide, rain water leaking in and gaps letting in dust and noise. Sometimes a repair fixes it; often replacement is the better spend.
Balcony doors: sliding or slide-and-fold?
Many Gurgaon flats have a balcony door that is used dozens of times a day and a living room that would be larger if the wall could open. A sliding door is the everyday choice: two or three panels, one fixed or all moving, sealed when shut. A slide-and-fold door folds its panels to one side so almost the whole opening clears, which suits a villa opening onto a lawn or a penthouse onto a terrace, but it has more hinges and seals to look after and needs a level threshold.
Mosquito mesh for the season after the rains
Mosquitoes in Gurugram peak in the weeks after the monsoon, which is when most mesh enquiries arrive. A mosquito mesh can be built into a new window as a third track, added to an existing window as a separate shutter, or fitted as a pleated mesh that folds away on a balcony door. Fibreglass mesh is common and easy to replace; stainless steel mesh lasts longer near pets.
Whichever frame you choose, ask what glass goes in it. Toughened glass is the safer choice for full-height doors and low windows, since it breaks into small blunt pieces; laminated glass also helps with noise.
Replacing windows in an occupied flat
Most window jobs in Gurugram are replacements in homes people are living in. Old frames are cut out, the opening is cleaned and squared, the new frame is fixed and sealed, and the plaster around it is made good. Societies often have rules on external frame colour and the look from outside, so a white uPVC or a matching aluminium finish may be required. High-floor windows have to be installed from inside, which can limit the size of fixed panes. We check all of this at the visit.
What changes the price of windows and doors?
- Frame system: uPVC or aluminium, and the series or profile thickness.
- Glass: single toughened, double-glazed, or laminated for noise and safety.
- Opening type: sliding, casement or slide-and-fold.
- Mesh: an added mesh track or a separate pleated mesh.
- Removal and making good: taking out old frames and repairing plaster.
See the uPVC window price guide for how these add up. For a balcony door that has jumped its track, see sliding door off track; for torn mesh, mosquito mesh torn.

Common questions
What is the price of uPVC windows in Gurgaon?
uPVC windows are priced per sq ft of window and quoted after a site visit, because the profile series, glass type, opening style and mesh change the cost. Double-glazed windows cost more than single glazed. Removing old frames and repairing plaster are included in the written quote if they are part of the agreed scope.
uPVC ya aluminium window, dust ke liye kaunsa better hai?
For keeping out dust, uPVC is usually the better choice. Its multi-chamber frames and continuous gaskets seal more tightly than a basic aluminium slider, whose interlock often lets fine dust through. A premium aluminium system with good seals can also perform well. In dusty areas like Dwarka Expressway, sealed uPVC is the common choice.
Will uPVC windows cut traffic noise from the expressway?
Yes, well-sealed uPVC windows with double glazing noticeably reduce road noise, which is why they are common in flats facing NH-48, Golf Course Extension Road and the SPR. The seal matters as much as the glass: any gap around the sash lets noise through. For bedrooms on the road side, double glazing is worth the extra cost.
Can you replace windows without breaking the wall?
Usually yes. Old frames are cut out carefully, the opening is cleaned and squared, and the new frame is fixed into the same opening. Some plaster around the edge is normally disturbed and made good afterwards. Larger changes, like widening an opening, involve civil work and need your society's approval.
Can you add mosquito mesh to my existing windows?
Yes. Mosquito mesh can be fitted to existing windows and doors as a sliding shutter, a pleated mesh or a fixed panel, priced per sq ft. Pleated mesh suits balcony doors because it folds away when not needed. We measure each opening at the visit, or you can send photos on WhatsApp first.
How long does window replacement take?
The timeline is confirmed in the quotation. Frames are made to the measured sizes after the 50% advance, then installed. Installation in an occupied flat is planned room by room so that no room is left open overnight where it can be avoided.
