Windows after a few summers

These are not brand-new handovers any more; Emaar's two projects have been lived in for years and Joyville's phases followed. The developer-fitted aluminium sliders are now showing their age in the usual way: rollers that grind, brush seals that have flattened, and interlocks that no longer meet. • Drilling and other noisy work is usually limited to set daytime hours on weekdays.
• Facade changes such as external grills or new railings normally need written approval.
