Shutters, Shop Fronts, Grills & Gates in Badshahpur, Gurgaon

Badshahpur is one of the older villages of Gurugram, sitting where Sohna Road meets the Southern Peripheral Road near Vatika Chowk, at the southern end of the Sohna Road elevated stretch that starts at Subhash Chowk. The village core is dense: houses built up three and four storeys on small plots, with shops, workshops and showrooms on the ground floor along the main road. Around it, Sectors 65 to 69 have filled with high-rise societies. • Grills. Ground and first floor windows on lanes get MS window grills; include one opening section per bedroom for safety.
• Gates. Narrow frontages suit compact MS main gates or a safety door at the stair.
• Windows. Old steel frames are being replaced with aluminium sliding windows for light and less dust.

Many houses here have floors let to people who work in the nearby offices and societies, so separate, lockable entrances are common requests. A steel stair or a separate gate for the upper floors often comes up when an owner starts letting, and both are easier to plan before the tenants move in than after. Monsoon is the hard season here

Low-lying stretches around Badshahpur and the Badshahpur drain are known for waterlogging after heavy rain.
