Toughened glass shopfronts in Gurgaon & Noida

A toughened glass shopfront with an entrance door, fitted to the existing opening. A retail entrance is cycled hundreds of times a day, so the glass and the door gear are specified for that duty rather than the lighter loading an office cabin sees. Installation is scheduled around your trading hours.

A toughened glass shopfront replaces the front of a shop, showroom, café or clinic with 12mm Saint-Gobain toughened glass and an entrance door on a floor machine, fixed with SS304 anti-rust fittings. It puts the whole interior on display from the street and stands up to a door that opens hundreds of times a day. FabWise fits shopfronts across Gurugram and Noida from ₹500 per sq ft of glass, measured at a ₹99 site visit and quoted in writing within about 2 hours.

Is a full glass front right for your shop?

A glass shopfront earns its keep wherever passers-by decide in a second whether to walk in: fashion and jewellery stores, mobile showrooms, cafés and bakeries, salons, pharmacies and clinics. Seeing the inside, lit and stocked, does more selling than a sign.

It is a different product from an internal partition. A frameless glass cabin with door divides a room inside a building; a shopfront closes the building itself, faces weather and dust, and usually takes far more door traffic. If you only need a clear internal screen, the fixed frameless glass wall is simpler.

Most market shops in Gurugram and Noida also have a rolling shutter outside the glass for night-time security. The two work together: the shutter protects, the glass sells. If your shutter is due for replacement at the same time, see our rolling shutter page so both can be planned in one visit. The rest of the commercial range is in the office and shop glass catalogue.

Built for footfall: glass, fittings and door gear

The glazing is 12mm Saint-Gobain toughened glass, held on SS304 anti-rust fittings. Anti-rust matters more at a shop entrance than anywhere indoors: rain blows in under the shutter, floors are mopped daily and road dust settles in every fixing.

The entrance door is usually a frameless glass leaf on a floor machine, with patch fittings top and bottom. Shops commonly choose a double-action door that swings both ways, so customers carrying bags can push either direction, and a floor lock at the bottom rail. The floor machine carries a 2 year functional warranty; warranty covers fittings, not glass.

Shop openings in older markets are often 10 to 16 ft wide and 9 to 11 ft high, which means heavy panels. Very wide or tall fronts are usually split into several fixed panels around the door, sometimes with a fixed transom above it, so no single sheet is unmanageable to carry or install.

Handles are typically long pull bars that can take a shop's logo vinyl around them. Decide on door position at the visit, because the floor machine is set into the floor and the glass is toughened to suit.

Shopfront prices for typical openings

Shopfronts are priced per sq ft of glass, starting at ₹500 per sq ft, and the door is counted in the area. Three openings we see often:

Small clinic or kiosk front, 8 ft × 9 ft (72 sq ft): ₹36,000

Standard market shop, 12 ft × 10 ft (120 sq ft): ₹60,000

Showroom frontage, 16 ft × 10 ft (160 sq ft): ₹80,000

What changes the final quote: a pair of doors instead of one, floor locks and handle choices, frosted or tinted glass in part of the front, height (more glass and harder handling above 10 ft), and access, for example a first-floor showroom with a narrow staircase or a market where vehicles can only stop at certain hours.

Removing an old front, if it is part of the agreed scope, is written into the quotation so there is no second bill. The glass door installation cost guide explains how door gear affects the total.

Fitting a new front without losing trading days

A shopfront is the one glass job where the business usually cannot close, so the plan is built around trading hours. At the ₹99 site visit, usually within 24–48 hours, the team measures the opening at several points (shop openings are rarely square), checks the floor level at the threshold, looks at the shutter guides and notes where a vehicle can unload.

The quotation aims to arrive within about 2 hours and is valid for 3 days. The shop trades as normal while the glass is made: production generally takes 7–10 days after the 50% advance. The installation day is then agreed with you, typically outside peak trading hours where the market allows.

Busy retail streets such as Sector 18 in Noida and MG Road and the bazaars of Old Gurgaon all have their own parking and loading realities, and malls usually require a fit-out approval before any work. Tell the team at the visit and it goes into the plan. The balance 50% is paid on completion.

Keeping a shop door and its glass in shape

A street-facing front collects dust fast, so clean it often and gently: water first to rinse grit off, then a soft cloth and glass cleaner. Wiping dry dust straight off scratches glass over time.

The floor machine is the part to watch. Mopping water and grit are its main enemies. A door that has started to slam shut, one that no longer latches, or an oily patch around the floor plate are early warnings; see glass door closing too fast, glass door lock not working and floor spring leaking oil. Report them while the machine is inside its 2 year functional warranty.

If an older door elsewhere has worn out its machine, our glass door floor machine repair is quoted from photos on WhatsApp, and office door machine replacement in Gurugram explains what that work involves. For a new front, book the visit and the team takes it from measurement to installation.

Common questions

What is the price of a toughened glass shopfront in Gurgaon?

Toughened glass shopfronts start at ₹500 per sq ft of glass, door included in the area. A standard 12 ft × 10 ft market shop front, 120 sq ft, comes to ₹60,000 at that rate. Door hardware, locks, height and access can change the final figure, which is set in an all-inclusive quote after the ₹99 site visit.

Is 12mm glass thick enough for a shop front?

For most shopfronts, yes. Our shopfront specification is 12mm Saint-Gobain toughened glass, which is the common choice for storefronts and entrance doors of ordinary height. Very wide or very tall openings are usually divided into several panels rather than made thicker, and the visit decides how the front is split.

Can the glass front be installed without closing my shop?

Mostly. Measuring takes a short visit, and the glass is made off site over the generally 7–10 days of toughened glass production, so you keep trading. Installation day does need the front open to work, so it is scheduled with you, usually around your quieter hours where the market rules allow it.

Do I still need a shutter with a glass shopfront?

Most market shops keep one. Toughened glass is strong and breaks into small blunt pieces rather than shards, but it is not a security barrier on its own, so a shutter usually closes over it at night. The glass sits inside the shutter line, so both can be planned together at one visit.

What warranty is there on a glass shop door?

Shopfront doors come with a 2 year functional warranty on the floor machine. It covers that fitting, not the glass, so a pane broken by accident is a replacement job. If the door starts slamming, dragging or failing to lock, send a short video on WhatsApp and the team will guide you on the next step.

Dukaan ka glass front kitne din mein lag jayega?

Expect the site visit within 24–48 hours of booking and a written quote about 2 hours after it. Your glass is made once the 50% advance is in, and toughened panels generally need 7–10 days in production. The fitting date is then fixed with you, around your trading hours.
