Glass Door Installation Cost in Gurgaon
A new glass door is priced as part of the glazed opening, per sq ft of glass. A frameless office cabin door is ₹400 per sq ft, a shop entrance ₹500 per sq ft and a hinged shower door ₹500 per sq ft. A faulty existing door is a repair, quoted from a photo on WhatsApp.
Glass door installation cost in Gurgaon depends on where the door is going and what it hangs on. FabWise does not sell a door on its own as a line item. A new glass door is part of a glazed opening, and the whole opening is priced per sq ft of glass at the rate for its style. Across Gurugram and Noida that covers three kinds of door: an office cabin door, a shop entrance, and a bathroom shower door.
Glass door rates by type
| Door type | What it hangs on | Rate per sq ft of the opening |
|---|---|---|
| Glass shopfront with door | Floor machine, 12mm glass | ₹500 |
| Frameless office cabin with door | Floor machine, 12mm glass | ₹400 |
| Aluminium-framed cabin with door | Floor machine, 12mm glass, black frame | ₹1,100 |
| Frameless shower partition with door | Hinges, 10mm glass | ₹500 |
| Slim-profile shower partition with door | Hinges, 10mm glass, matte black profile | ₹1,100 |
Why are doors priced with the opening, not on their own?
A glass door rarely stands alone. It is held by the fixed panels beside and above it, which carry the patch fittings, the lock and sometimes the top pivot. The door, the side panels and the overhead panel are measured, drilled and toughened together, so they fit as a set. Pricing the opening as a whole keeps the sum honest: you pay for the glass you get, and the door gear is built into the rate for that style.
Three doorways priced
Shop entrance, 10 ft wide and 9 ft high
A centre door with fixed glass on either side and above fills 90 sq ft. At ₹500 per sq ft that is ₹45,000.
Cabin front with a door, 8 ft wide and 8 ft high
64 sq ft of frameless glass, including the door, at ₹400 per sq ft comes to ₹25,600.
Shower opening, 4 ft wide and 7 ft high
A hinged door with a narrow fixed panel beside it is 28 sq ft, which at ₹500 per sq ft is ₹14,000.
What changes the cost of a glass door?
| Factor | Effect |
|---|---|
| Floor machine or hinges | Heavy 12mm office and shop doors run on a floor machine set into the floor; bathroom doors swing on hinges. Each style's rate already includes its gear. |
| Floor type | The floor machine sits in a recess. Marble, granite or a raised floor changes how that recess is cut. |
| Lock and handle | A standard handle and lock come with the style. A special lock or long pull handle is a specification change. |
| Double doors | Two leaves means two sets of door gear in the same opening. |
| Framed vs frameless | A framed door costs more: the frame is an addition, as the table shows. |
| Frosting or branding | A frosted band or logo is extra to clear glass. |
What if I only need my existing door fixed?
Then it is a repair, and repairs work differently. No ₹99 visit is needed: send a photo or short video on WhatsApp and the team will guide you. The common jobs are floor machine repair when a door will not close, closes too fast or drags on the floor, a shower door hinge replacement, and broken toughened glass replacement. These are quoted for the job, not from this rate card.
Floor machine or patch fittings: what holds an office door?
A frameless 12mm office or shop door is heavy, so it pivots on a floor machine (floor spring) set into a recess in the floor, with a top pivot in the panel or ceiling above. The floor machine also controls how fast the door closes and whether it holds open. Patch fittings clamp to the corners of the glass and link it to the pivots. All of this is inside the with-door rate. A shower door is much lighter and simply swings on hinges clamped to the glass or the wall.
Because the floor machine sits in the floor, the visit checks what the floor is made of and whether there is anything underneath. Cutting into marble or granite, or working on a raised floor, is planned in advance so the door sits level and closes properly from the first day.
Doors for shops in Gurugram markets
Ground-floor shops along MG Road, in Sector 14 market or in Old Gurgaon often have a rolling shutter outside the glass. The glass shopfront is made to fit inside the existing opening and shutter line, and the visit confirms the clearance the door needs to swing. If the shutter itself is the problem, see rolling shutter stuck.
What a new glass door quote includes
The quote is all-inclusive for the agreed scope: Saint-Gobain toughened glass, SS304 fittings, the door gear, cutting and drilling before toughening, delivery and installation. Office and shop doors carry a 2 year functional warranty on the floor machine; bathroom door styles a 1 year functional warranty on hardware. The warranty covers fittings, not the glass.
After installation, a glass door needs little more than cleaning and an eye on how it closes. A door that starts closing too fast, too slowly or not quite flush usually needs an adjustment to the floor machine, not new glass.
Comparing glass door quotes
- Check that the floor machine or hinges are included and named. A low quote that leaves them out is not comparable.
- Check the glass is toughened and 12mm for a shop or office door.
- Ask whether cutting the floor recess and installation are in the price.
- Ask for the full payable figure; our written quote states it for the agreed scope.

Common questions
How much does a glass door installation cost in Gurgaon?
A new glass door is priced with its opening, per sq ft of glass: ₹500 per sq ft for a shop entrance, ₹400 per sq ft for a frameless office cabin and ₹500 per sq ft for a hinged shower door. A 10 × 9 ft shop entrance is ₹45,000.
Is the floor spring included in the glass door price?
Yes. The with-door styles for offices and shops include the floor machine (floor spring), patch fittings and handle in the rate. The floor machine carries a 2 year functional warranty. You do not pay a separate door-gear line on top.
Can you fit a glass door into my existing opening?
Usually, yes. The glass shopfront with door is made to the opening you already have. The visit measures the opening and checks the floor where the floor machine goes, and the quote covers the door with any side and top panels it needs.
My glass door is dragging on the floor. Do I need a new door?
Usually not. A door that has dropped or drags is often a worn or leaking floor machine, which can be replaced without new glass. Send a photo or video on WhatsApp; repairs do not need a paid site visit. The team will tell you what the fix involves.
Glass door lagwane mein kitne din lagte hain?
After the quote is approved and the 50% advance paid, toughened glass production generally takes 7 to 10 days, because the holes for the fittings are drilled before toughening. Installation follows on an agreed date. The exact schedule is confirmed with your quote, after the visit.
Is the quote for a glass door inclusive of everything?
Yes, for the agreed scope: glass, fittings, door gear, delivery and installation. The written quote states the full amount payable, so there is nothing to add at the end. Anything outside the scope, such as civil work, is named before you approve.
