Glass Cabins and Partitions for Coworking Spaces in Gurgaon

A coworking floor needs many identical glass cabins, a few meeting rooms and doors that take far more traffic than a normal office. The best layouts repeat one or two cabin sizes, use 12mm toughened glass on floor springs, and are fitted at night so members are never disturbed.

Glass partitions for a coworking space are a different brief from a single company's office. The operator sells desks and cabins by the month, so the floor has to look premium on a walk-through, pack in as many lettable cabins as the fire plan allows, and keep running while members are inside. Operators in Gurugram, Noida and Delhi tend to ask the same questions, and this page answers them.

Why does coworking glass wear out faster than office glass?

A private cabin in a corporate office might see a few dozen door swings a day. A shared meeting room or a phone booth on a coworking floor can see hundreds, by people who do not own the furniture and do not hold the door. That is why the hardware choice matters more than the glass choice: a good floor spring with a controlled closing speed, patch fittings that are tightened at handover, and handles bolted through rather than glued.

How do you plan a floor of identical cabins?

Repetition is the operator's friend. If every four-seater cabin shares one width and one door position, the glass is ordered as a batch, the door hardware is interchangeable, and a broken panel later is a known size. The catch is that real floors are not perfectly square, so each opening is still measured individually and the drawing is adjusted to what is on site.

How is a coworking fit-out installed while members are working?

  1. One visit, whole floor. The site visit (₹99, adjusted against the bill) covers the full floor so every cabin is measured together. It is usually arranged within 24–48 hours.
  2. Quote by zone. The written quote, aimed within about two hours of the visit and valid for three days, can list cabins zone by zone so you can see each phase's cost.
  3. Fabrication after the 50% advance; toughened glass production generally takes 7–10 days.
  4. Night or weekend fitting where the building allows, one zone at a time, so members arrive to a finished section rather than a building site.
  5. One contact for snags, adjustments and later repairs, rather than a different vendor per cabin.

What does coworking glass cost?

The published rates apply: ₹400 per sq ft for a frameless cabin with a door, ₹1,100 per sq ft for an aluminium-framed cabin and ₹350 per sq ft for a fixed glass wall. Twelve small cabins with 60 sq ft of frameless glass each is 720 sq ft, about ₹2,88,000 at the rate card, which is why shared side walls between cabins (glass on one side only) are a common saving. Frosted film, branding and windows are added in the quote. More detail is in office glass partition cost.

What breaks first on a busy coworking floor?

Door hardware, nearly always. Watch for a door that drops and drags on the floor, a loose glass door handle, uneven gaps between double doors and floor springs leaking oil. A floor machine repair or a broken toughened glass replacement is quoted from photos sent on WhatsApp. Our glass door maintenance checklist is worth giving to the community team.

Common questions

What is the best glass partition for coworking cabins?

For most cabins, a frameless 12mm toughened glass front with a door on a floor spring. It looks open on a walk-through, the door hardware handles heavy use, and the 2 year functional warranty on the floor machine covers the part that wears most. Use an aluminium-framed cabin where old walls are badly out of line.

Can you install coworking cabins at night?

Where the building allows it, yes, and on a live coworking floor it is usually the best plan. Fitting zone by zone overnight or over a weekend means members never sit next to drilling. The building's rules on night work and lifts decide what is possible, so we plan around them at the quote stage.

How soundproof is a glass phone booth?

Glass reduces sound but does not stop it completely; most leakage is through gaps at the door edge, ceiling and floor rather than through the 12mm glass. Closing those gaps with seals and taking the partition to the true slab helps most. Read our guide on sound privacy in glass offices before fixing a design.

Do identical cabins cost less per sq ft?

The rate per sq ft is the published rate whatever the quantity. Repeating one cabin size saves money in other ways: fewer design changes, simpler measurement, batch ordering and interchangeable hardware later. The bigger saving usually comes from sharing glass walls between neighbouring cabins.

Coworking mein glass door toot jaye to kya karein?

Send a photo of the broken door and its frame on WhatsApp. Repairs and glass replacements are quoted from photos and videos, with no paid site visit. A replacement toughened panel has to be made to size, which generally takes 7–10 days, so it helps to send the photo the same day the door breaks.
