Glazing, Facades and Fabrication for Showrooms in Gurgaon
A showroom is judged from the road, so it usually needs tall glazing, a clean ACP or structural glazing facade, a glass entrance and often a mezzanine inside. Large glass is handled differently from a shop front, and the facade is usually quoted after a site visit.

Showroom glazing is about scale. A car, furniture, tile or lighting showroom along a Gurugram arterial road or a Noida commercial belt usually has a double-height front, a big sign band and a floor that has to show stock from the footpath. That changes what the glass and metal work needs to be, compared with a small shop: bigger panels, a proper facade system, an entrance that feels generous and an interior that uses the height.
What does a showroom need that a shop does not?
- A facade, not just a front. Structural glazing gives an uninterrupted glass face, bonded with structural silicone. ACP cladding covers the solid bands and carries the brand colours.
- Large display panels. Tall panes are heavy and need careful handling, framing and fixing. Laminated glass is often discussed for very large or overhead panes because it stays in place if cracked.
- A generous entrance. A toughened glass front with door, sometimes with double doors on a floor spring.
- Weather cover at the door. A glass canopy on spider fittings or brackets keeps rain off customers.
- Use of the height. An MS mezzanine floor with a staircase railing doubles display or storage space.
- Ventilation and screening. Aluminium louvers hide AC outdoor units on the facade.
Structural glazing or ACP for a showroom facade?
Most showrooms use both: structural glazing where customers should see in, ACP where there is a slab edge, a service area or a sign. The question is the proportion. Read structural glazing vs ACP for the full comparison; the short version is below.
| Showroom need | Usual answer | Style page |
|---|---|---|
| See the stock from the road | Flush glass facade | Structural glazing |
| Brand colour band and sign | Aluminium composite panels | ACP cladding |
| Main door at ground level | 12mm toughened glass front with door | Glass shopfront with door |
| Rain cover over the entrance | Toughened or laminated glass on brackets | Glass canopy |
| More display space | Steel mezzanine with railing | MS mezzanine floor |
| Night security | Shutter behind or in front of the glass | Rolling shutter |
How is a showroom facade job organised?
- Brief and drawings. Many showrooms follow a brand's facade guideline. Share it with us, along with the building drawings if you have them.
- Site visit. ₹99, adjusted against the bill, usually arranged within 24–48 hours. We check the slab edges, columns and the existing structure the facade will hang from.
- Written, all-inclusive quote for the agreed scope. Glass styles carry a published rate; facades, canopies and mezzanines are priced from the visit. The quote is valid for three days.
- Approvals. Facade changes can need the building owner's consent and, depending on the building and the authority, other permissions. These vary, so confirm them before fabrication.
- Fabrication and staging after the 50% advance. Big glass and long ACP panels need access for handling and sometimes scaffolding, so the road side and parking are planned in advance.
- Installation, sequenced so the showroom can stay open: facade work outside, interior work after hours.
What drives the cost of showroom glazing?
Ground-floor glass fronts with doors use the published shopfront rate of ₹500 per sq ft. The facade itself is priced on area, the glass type (clear, tinted, laminated or double-glazed units), the framing system, height above ground, access equipment and how much ACP is in the mix. A mezzanine is priced on its area, the load it must carry and the finish. See ACP cladding price for how ACP quotes are built.

Common showroom problems
Facades age at the joints: structural glazing leaks, loose ACP panels, ACP colour fading and rattling louvres. On the entrance, glass doors with uneven gaps are the usual complaint.
Send the brand guideline and a photo of the building on WhatsApp, or book a site visit to have the front measured.
Common questions
What is the best facade for a car or furniture showroom?
Usually a mix: structural glazing across the display area so stock is visible from the road, with ACP cladding on slab bands, the sign zone and service areas. The proportion depends on the brand guideline, the building and the budget, which is why facades are quoted after a site visit.
How big can a single showroom glass panel be?
It depends on the glass type and thickness, the framing and, very often, on site access. A panel has to be carried, lifted and fixed safely, so a narrow lane or a low canopy can limit the size more than the glass does. We check access at the visit before fixing the panel layout.
Do I need permission to change a showroom facade?
Usually you need the building owner's consent, and some buildings or authorities have rules about facade changes and signage. The requirements vary by building and location, so confirm them before fabrication starts. We can describe the work in whatever detail the paperwork needs.
Can you build a mezzanine inside a showroom?
Yes. FabWise fabricates MS mezzanine floors with staircases and railings. A mezzanine is designed around the load it must carry and how it is supported, so it is priced after a site visit. Ask the building owner about structural approval before planning one.
Showroom ka glass front kitne din mein lag jaata hai?
For a ground-floor glass front and door, usually about two weeks from the advance, because toughened glass production generally takes 7–10 days. A full facade with structural glazing and ACP takes longer and depends on access and approvals, so its schedule is set out with the quote.
