Possession Fit-Outs in Noida Extension: Grills, Mesh and Glass

Noida Extension, officially Greater Noida West, is the city's biggest new housing market: a grid of high-rise townships such as Gaur City around Gaur Chowk, Supertech Eco Village 1 in Sector 1 and Eco Village 4 in Sector 16B, with the Gaur City Mall as the area's shopping anchor. What does a new flat in Noida Extension need at possession?

Builder flats arrive with basic aluminium windows, a standard main door, open bathrooms and plain MS or glass balcony rails. Before or soon after moving in, most owners want the same handful of things, and doing them together saves visits, permits and lift bookings:

1. MS window grills on lower floors and on windows children can reach, to the society's approved pattern.
2. An MS safety door outside the main door, ventilated and lockable.
3. Mosquito mesh on every opening window and the balcony door, because new areas with open land around them have a lot of insects.
4. A shower screen or partition in each bathroom.
5. Sometimes a balcony railing upgrade, or a glass balcony railing panel behind the builder rail.

Metal and mesh: the biggest part of the job

Grills and safety doors are quoted after measurement because sizes vary by tower and the society's design dictates the pattern. Bathrooms at possession

New-build bathrooms are usually square and freshly tiled, which suits frameless glass well. Options:

Society rules during possession season

• Most societies require a fit-out or interior work permit from the maintenance office, often with the builder's facility team running it while the AOA is being formed.
• Approved designs for grills, balcony glass and safety doors are common, so ask for them before the visit.
• Service lifts get crowded when a tower is being handed over, as every flat is doing interiors at once. Book early.
• Drilling hours are usually limited to daytime on working days.
• Some societies take a refundable fit-out deposit from the owner.
