An outside shutter protects the glass and is simplest to fit, but its box and guide channels sit on the face of the house. An inside shutter keeps the daytime look clean and needs depth behind the glass and room under the ceiling for the box. The sign band and the old face of the house
An ACP cladding band above the entrance carries the sign and hides cracked plaster and old window openings. Ask for a fire-retardant core on any panel near wiring or signage lights. Settle these before the survey
- Confirm commercial use of the plot with the Noida Authority, and any rules on signage size.
- Arrange a power point at the top of the opening if the shutter will be motorised.
- Check where water from the balcony or roof above drains, so it does not run down the new band.
- Plan the changeover so the premises are never left open overnight.

Can a rolling shutter go behind the glass front of a Sector 20 clinic?
Often, if there is enough depth behind the glass and space under the ceiling for the shutter box. Many older houses have a deep enough lintel; some do not, and then an outside shutter is the practical choice. The survey checks the opening before either is quoted.
