Updated Sector 51, Noida

New aluminium sliding door fitted between a living room and balcony in a mid-rise flat

Sector 51 sits in central Noida between Sector 50 and Sector 52, on PIN 201301. Its best-known address is Kendriya Vihar, a cooperative group housing society of about 255 flats on roughly five acres. Smaller apartment blocks such as Shivkala Apartments and Kisan Tower share the sector with builder floors, and the village area of Hoshiyarpur lies on its edge. Housing here spans older buildings and renovated ones, which is exactly why repair work outnumbers new installations.

Transport defines the sector's eastern side. The Aqua Line's Noida Sector 51 station, opened on 25 January 2019, stands in Block E and is the line's Noida-end terminus, with a walkway of about 300 metres to Sector 52 on the Blue Line. Beside it the Noida Authority allotted a parcel of nearly 50,000 square metres to IKEA in 2021 for a mixed-use centre whose foundation stone was laid in September 2024.

For a household, that location cuts both ways. The metro is a few minutes' walk for much of the sector, but trains, buses and a large construction site bring noise and dust to the flats nearest them, which shows up as worn window seals and grit on sills sooner than in a quieter sector. Parking and access around the station also take planning on any delivery day.

Repair before you replace: the Sector 51 rule of thumb

Older flats in Sector 51 rarely need everything new. Most complaints we are asked about in buildings of this age trace back to a worn part, not a failed frame or panel:

Common faults in older Sector 51 flats and the usual fix
SymptomUsual causeWhat fixes it
Sliding window dragsFlat rollers, grit in the trackRoller set and track clean; see hard to slide
Dust and noise at the sashWorn brush seal or interlockNew seals; see gap, dust and noise
Shower door has droppedTired hingesHinge replacement
Cracked window paneImpact or stressPlain glass replacement
Shattered toughened panelEdge damage or impactToughened glass remade to size

Repairs do not need the paid site visit. Send a photo or a short video on WhatsApp and the team tells you the next step. Plain annealed glass can be cut to size; toughened glass cannot, so a broken toughened panel is always made fresh. The why toughened glass breaks guide explains the difference.

When the window itself has to go

A frame that is bent, corroded at the sill or open at the corners will not seal however many parts it gets. In a cooperative society the managing committee may want replacements to match the building, so the realistic choices are a like-for-like aluminium sliding window or, for a bedroom that faces a busy road, a uPVC window in a matching colour. Flats on the Aqua Line side hear trains and traffic; the soundproof windows guide explains what sealing can and cannot do. Builder floors have no committee, but co-owners often still want the front to look uniform.

Bathrooms: swapping old screens

Plenty of Sector 51 bathrooms already have first-generation shower glass. Where a hinged door collides with the WC, the usual swap is a frameless sliding partition from ₹550 per sq ft; where the swing works, a frameless partition with door starts at ₹500 per sq ft. The Sector 51 shower glass page covers keep-or-replace decisions in detail.

Builder floors and safety doors

On the builder floors and walk-up blocks, the flat entrance opens straight onto a shared stair, and an MS safety door in front of the main door is a common request, along with window grills on the lower floors. Both are made to the measured opening and quoted after the visit. Shared stair railings are best agreed by every floor together.

Practical points for a Sector 51 job

  1. Tell us whether the building has a lift and how big it is; walk-ups mean panels go up by stair.
  2. In Kendriya Vihar or any society, ask the office about permitted working hours before the visit.
  3. Near the metro and the IKEA construction site, parking a delivery vehicle can take planning; mention it at booking.
  4. Group several repairs into one message so they can be handled together.

New work follows the standard process: a ₹99 site visit, usually within 24–48 hours, a free written quote within about two hours, and 50% advance with 50% on completion. For the societies to the south see Sector 50; for plotted houses beside the Blue Line see Sector 52; and Sector 71 lies to the north. All repair types are on glass repairs in Noida.

Common questions

Can you repair a sliding window in Kendriya Vihar without replacing it?

Often yes. If the frame is straight, new rollers, seals and a lock usually restore it. Send a short video on WhatsApp; repairs are handled without the paid site visit, and the team tells you the next step.

Do I need to book a site visit for a glass repair in Sector 51?

No. Repairs are handled differently from new projects. Share a photo or video of the problem on WhatsApp and we guide you from there. New windows or shower glass need the ₹99 site visit for measurement.

Toota hua toughened glass kitne din mein lag jayega?

Toughened glass is made to the exact measured size, which generally takes 7–10 days of production. Fitting follows once it is ready. Plain glass can be cut to size and is quicker.
