Gates, Grills, Windows and Glass in Sector 52, Noida

Sector 52 is mostly low-rise: independent houses on residential plots, plus RWA-built apartment blocks and a handful of taller societies such as Antriksh Nature, a ready-to-move project of about 230 flats. Its corner on Captain Shashi Kant Marg holds the Noida Sector 52 station on the Blue Line, opened on 8 March 2019, and a walkway links it to the Aqua Line at Sector 51. The PIN is 201301. Residents point to an active RWA and a calmer, less crowded feel than the tower sectors nearby.

A house-owner's sector

Because most homes here stand on their own plot, the owner controls the boundary, the front door, the roof and every window. That makes Sector 52 work closer to kothi work than to society work: more metal, more outdoor exposure, and no maintenance office to clear the design with. What the RWA does care about is the street: gates that open outward over the road, sheds that overhang a setback, and noisy work at odd hours.

Gates and the front boundary

The boundary gate takes the most weather and the most wear. Common faults are a gate that sags and drags, a broken hinge or a lock that no longer catches. When repair is not enough, a new MS main gate or, where the drive is wide and the boundary wall long, an MS sliding gate is fabricated to the opening. Paint or powder coat?

Windows on a metro-side road

Houses along the main road and near the station live with traffic and train noise. Owners replacing old steel or early aluminium frames often choose a uPVC window for its multi-chamber profile and gaskets, or an aluminium sliding window where a slimmer frame suits the elevation. Front doors when a house is split into floors

Some Sector 52 houses have been divided into separate floors for family members or tenants. Each floor then wants its own lockable entrance off the stair, and an MS safety door in front of the wooden door is the usual answer. A grille panel keeps air moving through a flat in summer; a perforated sheet gives more privacy where the door faces a neighbour's. Shower glass for houses and flats

Bathrooms in plotted houses vary more than those in a society, so each one is measured on its own. A narrow bathroom where a door would hit the basin often takes a fixed frameless shower partition, starting at ₹370 per sq ft. A larger bathroom can take a frameless partition with door from ₹500 per sq ft. Glass is 10mm Saint-Gobain toughened with SS304 fittings.

The roof and the stair

Independent houses often have an open terrace and an internal stair.
