Putting a sign band on a house
An ACP fascia is a thin aluminium composite sheet on a light frame. On a converted house the frame is fixed into the slab edge and the beam, not into the brick infill, which will not hold it in a storm. Near a hospital, where many buildings mix residential and commercial use, it is worth specifying an ACP with a fire-retardant core rather than the cheapest grade. Louvres for guest houses
Guest houses and service apartments around the hospital often have an AC outdoor unit on every balcony. A screen of louvres hides them from the street while letting the units breathe. The blades need enough gap for airflow, or the AC runs hot; spacing is checked against the units at the visit.
Before booking
- Make sure the widened opening's beam and jambs are finished.
- Know the sign size and any lighting, so the ACP frame allows for it.
- Ask the building owner where outdoor units and signs may go.

Can a rolling shutter be fitted to a bedroom wall turned into a shop?
Yes, once the opening has a proper beam above and solid jambs on both sides. The shutter's barrel hangs from the lintel and its guides fix into the jambs. If the opening is still being widened, finish the structural work first; we measure the final opening at the visit.
How much does an ACP sign band cost for a chemist shop near Medanta?
ACP has no fixed published rate. The panel grade and core, the length and depth of the band, the frame and any lighting cut-outs set the price. It is quoted in writing after the ₹99 visit, all-inclusive for the agreed scope and valid for 3 days.
Will louvres in front of AC units make them work harder?
