Sector 79 sits at the southern end of the 74–79 residential block, and the Aqua Line's Noida Sector 101 station actually stands inside it. Its societies are the youngest in the block: Gaur Sportswood, Mahagun Mirabella on Sector 78 Main Road, Ajnara The Belvedere (listed at seven towers of 26 floors), Elite Golf Green and Ashiana Amaltas, while projects such as Lords are still being built. A sector at this stage is full of people collecting keys, so most of the work is first fit-out rather than repair.

Moving into a new Sector 79 flat: what to fit first

1. The safety door. It goes on before the furniture arrives, because a bare flat with only the builder's door is the least secure it will ever be.
2. Mosquito mesh. Fit it before the first monsoon in the flat; it is easier while the windows are clear of curtains and rods.
3. Shower glass. Measured on the finished tiles and made to size, so book it early and let it arrive while you move.
4. Grills and balcony safety. Last, because they need the society's approved design and often a written application.

The main door

An MS safety door is made to the measured opening, with a grille so you can open the main door to a delivery without letting anyone in. It sits in a shared lift lobby, so societies commonly want one approved design per tower; ask the facility office before choosing a pattern. Powder coating holds up better than paint at a door that is touched dozens of times a day.

Mesh on every opening

Builder windows rarely come with mesh, and a flat that sits closed for weeks during the move fills with mosquitoes the first evening the windows are opened. Bathroom glass on fresh tiles

New tiles and walls not yet disturbed are the best conditions frameless glass gets. A frameless shower partition with door starts at ₹500 per sq ft; a frameless sliding shower partition at ₹550 per sq ft suits a bathroom where a swinging door would clash with the basin. Is it a builder snag or a new job?

In a newly delivered flat, a window that leaks, a balcony door that will not lock or a cracked pane may be the builder's responsibility. Under RERA, structural defects and defects in workmanship or services reported within five years of possession are for the builder to fix, so raise those with the builder or the handover desk first. Payment is 50% to start and 50% on completion, and toughened glass takes roughly 7–10 days.
