Sector 50 is one of Noida's quieter residential sectors, with gated societies such as Mahagun Maple and Stellar Kings Court among parks and wide internal roads. It has its own station on the Aqua Line, and Sector 51 next door is the line's Noida terminus, opened in January 2019 and linked by a walkway to the Blue Line at Sector 52. Sector 51 has its own group housing and is close to Kendriya Vihar. The kothi lanes of Sectors 44 and 47 have their own page; this one is about the flats.

The room-by-room upgrade

Families in these societies have often lived in the same flat for years, and rather than a single renovation they upgrade a room at a time. That is a sensible way to do it, as long as the order is right. A practical sequence:

  1. Bathrooms first, because they involve tiling and plumbing that make dust everywhere else. Glass goes in after the tiles.
  2. Balcony door and windows next, because new frames need sealing and touch-up painting of the walls around them.
  3. Mesh with the windows, not after, so the mesh track is planned into the frame.
  4. Railings and terrace work last, since they need society approval and can wait for it without holding up anything indoors.

Choosing shower glass for a mid-life bathroom

Shower glass options for Sector 50–51 flats
BathroomGood fitRate from
Narrow, door would hit the WCFrameless sliding shower partition₹550 per sq ft
Corner showerL-shape enclosure with door₹500 per sq ft
Wide, simple layoutFrameless partition with door₹500 per sq ft
Uneven walls after re-tilingSlim profile partition with door₹1,100 per sq ft

All of these use 10mm Saint-Gobain toughened glass and SS304 fittings, with a 1 year functional warranty on hardware. Our comparison of sliding vs hinged shower doors helps with the first choice, and shower glass hard water cleaning helps keep it clear afterwards.

When the existing glass only needs fixing

Plenty of flats in these sectors already have shower glass fitted years ago. Before replacing it, check what has actually failed. A door that has dropped usually needs new hinges, not new glass, and a bathroom glass door hinge replacement is quoted from a photo. A screen that drips at the bottom often needs a fresh seal strip; see shower seal strip worn. Only chipped, scratched or cracked toughened glass has to be remade, because it cannot be cut or polished back once tempered.

Balcony doors and mosquito mesh

Societies of this age usually have aluminium sliding balcony doors that have dropped on their rollers and let dust in at the interlock. If the frame is sound, a roller and seal service may be enough; if not, a new aluminium sliding door or a uPVC window for the bedrooms is the upgrade. Sectors 50 and 51 are green, with parks and trees, which also means mosquitoes. Mosquito mesh in pleated, sliding or fixed form is the most requested add-on. If your current mesh is torn, see mosquito mesh torn first.

Top-floor terraces and balcony railings

Top-floor flats in these societies often come with a terrace, and owners want it usable in summer and the monsoon. A polycarbonate terrace shed or an MS pergola is the usual request, and both are external structures that the society will want to approve. Balcony railing upgrades, often to stainless steel for families with children, fall under the same rule. Bring the society's approved design to the visit.

The process is the same in Gurugram and here: the ₹99 site visit, a free written quote within about two hours valid for 3 days, and 50% advance with 50% on completion. Common questions

What does a sliding shower partition cost in a Noida Sector 50 flat?

A frameless sliding shower partition starts at ₹550 per sq ft of glass. A typical society bathroom opening needs about 25 to 35 sq ft, so roughly ₹16,500 for a 30 sq ft partition. The exact figure comes in the written quote after we measure.

Can I put a shed on my top-floor terrace in Sector 51?

Usually, with the society's approval. A polycarbonate shed or pergola is visible from outside, so most societies want the design, height and colour cleared before work starts. Get their written permission, then book the visit; the shed is quoted on its measured size and frame.

Balcony ka sliding door bahut bhaari chalta hai, kya karein?

Usually the rollers are worn or the track is dirty or bent. A roller and seal replacement often fixes it without a new door. Send a short video on WhatsApp; if the frame itself is damaged, a new aluminium sliding door is quoted after a visit.

Which mosquito mesh is best for a balcony door?

Pleated mesh suits balcony doors because it folds away to the side and does not sag. Sliding mesh works well on windows with a spare track. Fixed mesh is cheapest but blocks the opening. We fit mesh with or after window work, and it is quoted after measurement.
