Sector 22 is a residential sector east of Sector 12, made up of two quite different kinds of housing. The planned part is plotted blocks of independent houses and builder floors. The other part is Chaura, also written Chora Sadatpur, one of the old villages that Noida grew around, with its own denser lanes. Somerville School at D-89 and DSR Modern School are both in the sector, as are the Noida Charitable Blood Bank, a government urban health centre and a number of small clinics. The nearest metro is Sector 18, roughly 5 km by road. The postcode is 201301.

Plotted blocks or village lanes: does it change the job?

Yes, mainly in access and in what the building is like. The planned blocks have regular plots and roads a small truck can usually use. Village lanes are narrower and turn more often, and buildings sit close together. A window or grill job in the village is measured the same way but delivered differently, with frames and glass carried in by hand from the nearest wide road.

Which window suits a Sector 22 house?

With two schools in the sector, roads near them are busiest at the start and end of the school day. Deliveries of glass and long steel sections are planned outside those windows where possible, so a vehicle is not stuck in school-run traffic with a panel on board.
