Glass Railings, Balcony Doors and Shower Glass in Sector 121, Noida

Two large societies make up most of Sector 121, and they could hardly be more different. Cleo County, built by ABA Corp, is an Egyptian-themed project of 24 towers on about 25 acres, sold mainly as 3 and 4 BHK apartments. Homes 121 is a 22-tower society of smaller, more compact flats. The sector shares the PIN code 201307 with Sector 120 next door, and the FNG Expressway runs past it.

Big flats and small flats want different glass

The size of the flat changes the job more than anything else. A Cleo County master bathroom often has room for a corner enclosure and a living room may open onto a wide balcony; a compact flat in Homes 121 needs glass that saves space. In practice the requests split like this:

Two societies, two maintenance offices

Cleo County and Homes 121 are run separately, so their rules on contractors, drilling hours and the outside of the towers are not the same. One may already have an approved railing pattern or a set colour for balcony door frames; the other may not. Check with your own maintenance office rather than going by what a friend across the road was told, and bring any written guidance to the site visit so the quote is drawn up to it the first time.

Is a glass railing a sensible choice on an upper balcony?

It can be, if it is built for the height. Upper balconies take wind from several sides, so the glass should be laminated toughened, which holds together if it breaks, and it must sit in a proper base system fixed into sound concrete. A continuous U-channel gives the cleanest look; spigots suit a slab edge that cannot take a channel. Balcony doors that open the room

In the bigger flats the balcony door is often the widest opening in the home, and the builder's two-panel slider only ever opens half of it. A slide-and-fold door stacks its panels to one side so the living room and balcony become one space; a three-track slider is the simpler upgrade. Corner showers in larger bathrooms

Where the shower sits in a corner, an L-shaped enclosure boxes it in with two glass sides. The hinged version starts at ₹500 per sq ft and the sliding version at ₹570 per sq ft. Both use 10mm Saint-Gobain toughened glass with SS304 fittings, the sliding one with aluminium track fittings, and carry a 1 year functional warranty on hardware.
