A tank cage needs a lockable lid big enough for cleaning. Both should be primed and painted or powder coated, because they sit in full sun and rain on the roof.

Fixing into new plaster

On rebuilt floors, fresh plaster over brick or blocks can be soft. Anchors set only in plaster pull out under a monkey's weight, which is why some grills come loose from the wall. Fixings go through to the masonry or into the concrete frame.

Gates and safety doors on rebuilt floors
