Grills, Gates and Stairs Built for Shahdara's Narrow Lanes
In Shahdara's narrow lanes, metalwork is designed around access: grills and gates are made in sections, carried in by hand and bolted or welded on site, and nothing should project into the lane. Small plots often add an external spiral stair. All metalwork is quoted after a ₹99 site visit.

Built in sections, joined on site
A full-size gate or grill made in one piece cannot turn into a lane barely wider than a door. So the work is broken down:

The site visit walks the route from the nearest point a vehicle can stop, measures every turn and the stair inside the house, and the design follows those sizes.
Stay within your own line
In a lane this narrow, a grill or box window that sticks out even a short distance blocks light and passage for everyone, and it invites complaints and municipal action. New grills should sit flush with or inside the building line. If more space is wanted inside, a deeper grill is formed inward, not outward.

A spiral stair on a small plot

Rust in damp lanes
Lanes that see little sun stay damp after the monsoon, and steel there rusts fast. Every piece should be cleaned, primed and painted or powder coated, and for exposed gates, hot-dip galvanising before painting is worth considering. Can a gate be installed in a Shahdara lane a truck cannot enter?
Yes. The gate is fabricated in leaves and sections small enough to carry in by hand, then assembled and hung on site. At the site visit we walk the route from the nearest vehicle point and size each piece for the narrowest turn.
How much do grills cost in Shahdara?
Grills have no fixed published rate. The number and size of openings, the bar section, the design, any openable panels and the finish decide the price. After the ₹99 site visit you get a written, all-inclusive quote, valid for 3 days, with 50% to start and 50% on completion.

It is best not to. A grill projecting into a narrow lane blocks light and passage, and can draw complaints or municipal action. We keep grills flush with your building line, and if you want more depth, the grill is formed inward.
