Windows, Glazing & Mesh for Dwarka Expressway Flats, Gurgaon

On the Dwarka Expressway, window work is about keeping dust, traffic noise and afternoon heat out of new flats: tighter-sealing uPVC or upgraded aluminium windows, double glazing on exposed sides, and mosquito mesh. All are quoted after a ₹99 site visit.

Aluminium sliding window with brush seals and a mesh shutter in a new high-rise flat

Windows on the Dwarka Expressway face a corridor that is still being built. The sectors from 99 to 113 sit beside a new elevated highway, with tower cranes and open plots on every side, and the flats in Sobha City, Hero Homes, Godrej Vrikshya and their neighbours take the dust, traffic noise and western sun that come with it. Owners in this part of New Gurgaon, Gurugram's newest housing belt, usually notice the windows in their first summer and decide then whether to upgrade or replace them.

Upgrade the builder's windows, or replace them?

Not every complaint needs new frames. A light aluminium slider with worn brush seals and a loose interlock can sometimes be improved with new seals, rollers and a mosquito mesh shutter. If the frame itself is flimsy, the track is bent or the sash rattles in its frame, replacement is the better spend. A rattle in wind is described in aluminium window rattling, and a latch that will not catch in sliding window lock broken.

Glass for heat and noise

The frame stops air leaks; the glass decides how much heat and sound gets through. Double-glazed units cut both, and a low-E glass pane reflects some of the afternoon sun on west-facing rooms. On the highway side, double glazing in a uPVC frame is the usual combination. On a side facing the society's own lawns, a well-sealed single-glazed window may be all you need.

uPVC or aluminium?

uPVC profiles insulate well and seal tightly, but frames are bulkier. Aluminium sections are slimmer and stronger for very wide openings. Our uPVC vs aluminium windows comparison goes through it side by side.

Society rules in a young society

Most Expressway societies are still run by the developer's maintenance team, and the facade is protected closely. Replacing windows like for like, in the approved colour, usually needs written approval; changing the frame colour or enclosing a balcony is often refused. Mesh mounted inside the frame is simpler. Ask first, and bring any written conditions to the visit.

Before booking

  1. Walk the flat and note which rooms face the expressway and which face west.
  2. Open and close every window; note any that stick, rattle or do not lock.
  3. After rain, check sills for water.
  4. Ask the maintenance office about approval and frame colour.

The ₹99 visit is usually within 24 to 48 hours of booking. Each opening is measured, and the written quote follows within about 2 hours, valid for 3 days. Fabrication starts on the 50% advance.

Costs are in the uPVC window price guide. Browse all window and door styles or aluminium and uPVC windows in Gurgaon, and see the Dwarka Expressway page for the rest of the area. In established Palam Vihar nearby, owners are replacing decades-old windows instead.

Common questions

Will new windows stop construction dust on Dwarka Expressway?

They make a big difference. Most dust enters through loose interlocks and worn brush seals on sliding windows, not the glass. A uPVC window with compression seals, or an upgraded aluminium slider, closes those gaps. Some dust still enters when windows are opened, so mesh helps too.

Is double glazing worth it for a flat facing the expressway?

On the highway side, usually yes. Two panes with a sealed gap reduce traffic noise and heat noticeably, especially in a uPVC frame that seals well. For rooms facing internal lawns, a well-sealed single-glazed window may be enough. We discuss each room at the site visit.

Naye flat ki khidki band hone ke baad bhi awaaz aati hai, kyon?

Sound comes through gaps, not just glass. On a light sliding window, the interlock and brush seals leave small gaps that carry traffic noise. Better seals help a little; a uPVC window with compression gaskets and double glazing helps a lot. Both options are quoted after the site visit.

How much do uPVC windows cost on Dwarka Expressway?

uPVC windows have no fixed published rate. The price depends on the number and size of openings, the profile, the glass type and whether mesh is included. After the ₹99 site visit you get a written, all-inclusive quote, valid for 3 days.
