Safety doors on a shared stair
Once floors are sold or let separately, the common staircase becomes a corridor that strangers use. A steel grille door in front of each flat's wooden door lets a family keep the main door open for air in the evening while the grille stays locked. Ask for a frame fixed into the RCC jamb, and choose the lock before fabrication.
Elevation steel: jaali, colour and rust
Many new fronts here use a laser-cut screen on the gate or on the balcony faces to give privacy from the street. Common questions
Should a wide stilt gate in Sector 15 be one leaf or two?
Two, in most cases. A single leaf wide enough for three cars is heavy, needs a big clear arc to swing and loads its hinges hard, so it drops sooner. Two leaves, with a small wicket door in one, are easier to use and last longer. If cars park right up to the gate, a sliding gate may suit better.
Can each floor of our rebuilt house get its own safety door?
Yes. A steel safety door is made for each landing's opening and fixed into the concrete frame around the flat's main door. Measure every landing at one visit, as the openings rarely match exactly. Pick the lock first, because it decides the frame size. Each door is quoted in the same written quotation.
Laser cut jaali wala gate zyada mehenga padta hai kya?
Usually it costs more than a plain bar gate, because the sheet is thicker and cutting takes machine time. How much more depends on the pattern area and the sheet thickness. It is quoted after the visit, and the quote can show the plain and jaali options side by side so you can compare.
