Mezzanines, Sheds, Shutters and Gates for Warehouses and Factories in Gurgaon

Warehouses and factories mostly need steel: mezzanine floors for storage, sheds for loading bays, rolling shutters, sliding gates and staircases. A glass or aluminium-framed office on the shop floor is the usual finishing touch. Metal work is quoted after a site visit.

Galvanised steel rolling shutter closing a wide loading bay opening

For a plant manager or a warehouse operator in Gurgaon, Noida or Delhi, fabrication is about floor space, flow and security. Industrial belts like Udyog Vihar and the Manesar side of Gurugram, Noida's phase areas and Delhi's industrial estates are full of buildings that were put up quickly and now need more storage, better loading cover, stronger gates and a clean office for supervisors. Most of this is steel, priced from a site visit.

Mezzanines: the questions to settle first

A mezzanine is the biggest single item in most warehouse jobs and the one most worth thinking through:

  • What will it carry? Racked cartons, loose bags and a pallet trolley put very different loads on the deck. The load decides the beam sizes, column spacing and decking.
  • What is it standing on? Columns need a floor that can take point loads; an old slab may need a base plate or footing.
  • How will goods get up? Stairs for people, and a loading gate or opening for goods, with an edge railing everywhere else.
  • Finish. Primer and enamel indoors; powder coating or hot-dip galvanising near open bays where rain blows in. Mild steel rusts fast if left bare.
  • Approvals. Some buildings and authorities treat a mezzanine as added floor area. Check with the owner and your consultant before fabrication.

Sheds, shutters and gates that take a beating

Loading bays see trucks reversing, forklifts turning and doors opened dozens of times a shift. A shed over the bay should be high enough for the tallest vehicle and carry gutters sized for monsoon rain; see polycarbonate vs metal sheet roof for roofing. Wide shutters are far easier with a motor (manual vs motorised), and sliding gates need a level track kept clear of debris; read sliding gate automation if you want it motorised.

How an industrial job runs around production

  1. Site visit (₹99, adjusted against the bill), usually within 24–48 hours. The plant's safety officer should walk it with us.
  2. Written quote, aimed within about two hours of the visit, all-inclusive for the agreed scope, valid three days.
  3. Fabrication off site after the 50% advance, so hot work on your floor is minimised.
  4. Installation in shifts that suit production: weekly offs, night shifts or a planned shutdown, following your permit-to-work and hot-work rules.
  5. Completion, balance 50%, and one contact for adjustments.

What decides the cost of industrial fabrication

Metal work has no published rate; it is priced on weight and area of steel, the section sizes, the span, the finish, height and access, and any motorisation. The office cabin on the floor is the exception: an aluminium-framed cabin is ₹1,100 per sq ft and a frameless one ₹400 per sq ft. A 12 ft by 8 ft two-sided supervisor cabin, about 160 sq ft of glass, is roughly ₹1,76,000 in the framed style. See MS gate price and terrace shed cost for how steel quotes are built.

Warehouses and factories by city

City pages: warehouses and factories in Gurgaon, in Noida and in Delhi. Family pages: metal fabrication in Gurgaon, Noida and Delhi; facades and shutters in Gurgaon. Udyog Vihar in Gurugram is the closest industrial area to the city. Every covered city is on the Delhi NCR page.

Common industrial faults: shutters stuck, sliding gates stuck, cracked welding joints, shed roofs sagging and gutters overflowing. Send photos on WhatsApp, or book a site visit.

Common questions

How much does an MS mezzanine floor cost?

There is no fixed rate, because the cost depends on the area, the load it must carry, the span between columns, the decking, the stairs and the finish. After the site visit you get a written quote that is all-inclusive for the agreed design. Be clear about the load so the design matches the use.

Do I need approval to put a mezzanine in a warehouse?

Possibly. Some building owners, industrial authorities and local rules treat a mezzanine as added floor area or a structural change. Requirements vary by location and building, so check with the owner and your consultant before fabrication starts, and share any conditions with us at the visit.

Can fabrication be done without stopping production?

Mostly. Steel is cut, welded and finished off site, so on-site work is mainly bolting, fixing and limited welding. That can be planned for night shifts, weekly offs or a planned shutdown, following the plant's permit-to-work and hot-work rules.

Galvanised or painted steel for a loading bay shed?

Where rain and splash reach the steel, hot-dip galvanising lasts longest, because the zinc coat protects even where it is scratched. Powder coating gives a good finish and colour. Primer and enamel is the lowest first cost but needs repainting. The choice is usually made on exposure and budget.

Factory mein office cabin ke liye kaunsa partition theek hai?

Usually an aluminium-framed glass cabin. The frame takes up uneven floors and walls common in sheds, the 12mm toughened glass lets supervisors see the floor, and doors close to keep dust and noise down. It is ₹1,100 per sq ft, fitted.
